My Biography:

 I have been crafting most of my life, and have explored using many different techniques and materials.  What I love about the current trends in the art worlds is the joining of wildly different textures, colors, materials, and techniques.  I make functional art, rather than “high art”.  I like to decorate my world and myself with items I find beautiful, so I make those kinds of items.  Jewelry, dolls, seasonal decorations, and whatever whimsical item strikes my fancy. 

 For my jewelry, I love working with natural materials.  I have a background in Geology, and I love the sensuous warmth and weight of stones, and the story of the materials.

 My designs, in any form, tend to move from a focal point out to a complete piece.  I add, move, play, and balance color, texture, and pattern.  Most of my items are originals (especially the dolls), or are one of a very small run of items.  I may use patterns designed by others as a springboard for my creations, always with permissions given or in accordance with copyright.  I personally handcraft all the items I sell. 

 I am a lifelong Alaskan, married, and owned by two deceptively adorable miniature dachshunds.
